Nadim G. Hegazi

SUMMARY

Nadim G. Hegazi is a trial attorney and litigator at the firm’s Oakland office. Mr. Hegazi specializes in the areas of professional liability, business disputes, construction defects and catastrophic injuries. Mr. Hegazi represents attorneys, medical professionals, architects, engineers, and other design professionals.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hegazi litigated and provided advice in a range of areas, including securities fraud class actions, employment, contract, product liability, personal injury, premises liability for public entities and companies, and unfair business practices. Mr. Hegazi also gained significant courtroom experience as a prosecutor with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried over 20 jury trials to verdict, conducted hundreds of evidentiary hearings and negotiated hundreds of plea agreements. He was selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2019. Mr. Hegazi is also a Certified Public Accountant and worked as a financial auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Mr. Hegazi serves on the Board of the Charles Houston Bar Association and on the Board of the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco.

Mr. Hegazi received his undergraduate degree from Pace University in New York City and his Juris Doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.

EXPERIENCE

Voluntary Dismissal with Prejudice in E-Cigarette Products Liability Action: Mr. Hegazi represented a manufacturer and distributor of batteries used in e-cigarette products. The client was sued in a subrogation action involving significant property damage as a result of a fire allegedly caused by the client’s defective battery. After establishing that plaintiff could not establish that the allegedly defective battery caused the fire, plaintiff voluntary dismissed all claims against his client with prejudice.

Obtained Nominal Settlement for Owner of Multi-Unit Residential Apartment Complex in San Francisco: Mr. Hegazi represented an owner of a multi-unit residential apartment complex in San Francisco in a landlord-tenant dispute involving numerous allegations and claims. Through detailed settlement negotiations and presentation of evidence, Mr. Hegazi negotiated a favorable settlement for the owner for a nominal amount.
